EXAMINE IGLESIA NI CRISTO

Test all things; hold fast what is good.
1Thessalonians 5:21 (NKJV)

Before You Start:

If you are a member of the Iglesia ni Cristo and are convinced that it is the "only true church," and will accept no possibility of proof to the contrary, you may not want to view this site. If, however, you are a member, and sense something is wrong, or you are considering joining the Iglesia ni Cristo, we strongly encourage you to view the entirety of this site which has 7 sections and a total of 45 pages.

We encourage you to read it slowly and deliberately. A cursory view of this site will not suffice; you should come back to it as many times as necessary to gain a full understanding of the issues.

Introduction: Claims of the INC

The Iglesia ni Cristo (Church of Christ from the Philippines) claims to be the only true church:

"...the Iglesia ni Cristo never tires of convincing people to leave their false religions and come to the only true religion, the Iglesia ni Cristo."

"This may come as a surprise to many, but the Biblical truth is, though all churches profess to preach God and Christ, there is only one true church that can bring people back to the good graces of God."

It also claims to be the reestablishment of the first century Church of Christ that fell by way of apostasy — by means of God's last messenger, Felix Y. Manalo:

"The Church of Christ which was apostatized after the first century was restored to its pristine purity by God by means of His last messenger, brother Felix Y. Manalo..."

Consequently, only Iglesia ni Cristo ministers can be considered God's messengers:

"It is through the preaching function of God's messengers that God calls people to be gathered in one body or in the Church of Christ. This is why members of the Iglesia ni Cristo uphold the words of God preached by His messenger in these last days, Brother Felix Y. Manalo. He and the other ministers and workers of the Church are the ones whom God sent in these last days, as attested to by the fulfillment of God's prophecy, to preach the gospel..."
